Cinema sotto le Stelle at Villa La Massa
This historic estate on the outskirts of Florence is hosting a summer festival under the Tuscan sky
When the sun sets over the Tuscan hills and the sky lights up with stars, Villa La Massa transforms into an elegant open-air cinema. The historic 13th-century residence, part of Villa La Massa and the Villa d'Este La Collezione collection, hosts Cinema sotto le Stelle, a film series that brings the timeless charm of great films just a few kilometers from the center of Florence.
Launched on July 2, the initiative combines the pleasure of cinema with the exceptional hospitality for which Villa La Massa is renowned, offering guests an immersive experience blending culture, fine dining, and ambiance. The setting chosen for the screenings makes each event even more special: the 10 hectares of the villa’s park, with its centuries-old olive trees and the soft glow of lanterns, becomes the ideal backdrop for a summer evening marked by elegance and relaxation.

Accompanying the screening is a culinary offering dedicated to conviviality: upon arrival, guests can enjoy a fresh bottle of Prosecco and unlimited popcorn throughout the movie. During intermission, the evening continues with a snack of your choice from a selection of classics such as pizza, hamburgers, and club sandwiches. Rounding out the experience is an American Bar featuring an à la carte selection of sparkling wines, fine wines, soft drinks, and signature cocktails inspired by the Divine Comedy—the hallmark of the villa’s beverage offerings.
