Free visits, special guides and initiatives. Discover all participating museums on Sunday 7 April

Sunday 7 April sees the renewal of the double date with Sunday at the Museum and Metropolitan Sunday.

As on every first Sunday of the month, the free museums in Florence are back for everyone, thanks to the Domenica al museo initiative, while residents - thanks to the La Domenica Metropolitana initiative - in the Metropolitan City of Florence can visit the civic museums run by the city council free of charge, where guided tours and family visits are also planned.

Here are the free museums for everyone on the occasion of Sunday at the Museum, HERE instead is our guide to discovering the must-visit museums in Florence!

  • Uffizi (8.15am to 6.30pm)

  • Accademia Gallery (8.15am to 6.50pm with last admission 6.20pm)

  • Boboli Garden (8.15am to 4.30pm)

  • Pitti Palace (from 8.15am to 6.30pm the Royal and Imperial Apartments and the Fashion and Costume Museum are closed for refurbishment)

  • Bargello Museum (8.15am to 1.50pm)

  • Medici Chapels (8.15am to 1.50pm)

  • Florence National Archaeological Museum (from 8.30 am to 2 pm with last admission at 1.15 pm).

  • Last Supper of Andrea del Sarto (8.15am to 1.50pm)

  • Garden of the Villa medicea di Castello (from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm)

  • Park of Villa il Ventaglio (8.15 am to 4.30 pm)

  • Medici Villa of Cerreto Guidi and the Historical Museum of Hunting and the Territory (entrances at 9am, 10am, 11am, 12pm, 3pm and 4pm)
