An evening of solidarity with Smile Project in Florence

Special benefit dinner on May 21 at Roster Tepidarium

On May 21st, the evocative Tepidarium del Roster in Florence will provide the setting for a special evening dedicated to solidarity. The charity dinner organized by Smile Project will bring together art, music, and fine cuisine to support the many humanitarian projects that the association has been carrying out in Eritrea for over ten years.

GALA DINNER FLORENCE 2025

The goal is ambitious yet deeply tangible: to raise funds for organizations that change lives every single day. Among them are an orphanage, a school for blind children aged 4 to 14, a vocational school for deaf-mute students specializing in tailoring and pattern-making — giving them a chance at employment — and a women’s training center where sewing, embroidery, cooking, and other skills are taught to help build an independent future.

It all stems from the heart and dedication of the Smile Project volunteers, who carry out these initiatives on a non-profit basis. The evening of May 21st is made possible thanks to the support of the Municipality of Florence, which has generously provided the venue free of charge, as well as the generosity of artists, performers, and suppliers, all of whom are participating on a cost-only basis, allowing all proceeds to go directly to the cause.

The evening’s program, starting at 8:00 PM, promises to move and inspire from the very beginning: more than 70 artists will take turns performing in a musical show directed by Fabio Canino, accompanying guests throughout the aperitif and dinner curated by Galateo Ricevimenti, who also oversaw the event's entire organization.

Among the evening’s surprises, each guest will receive a personalized photographic portrait by photographer Alessandro Moggi, and have the chance to participate in a raffle with an array of prizes.

But the charity doesn’t stop there: from Friday, May 23rd to Sunday, May 25th, Smile Project’s signature clothing and accessories market will return to the Tepidarium. This summer edition will be larger than ever, featuring new brands, a vintage corner curated by personal shoppers, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
