Within the estate—already a landmark for Tuscan wine tourism thanks to the Wine Relais, the Enoteca Ruffino, and the Tre Rane Restaurant—the Limonaia now becomes one of the most evocative settings dedicated to experiential hospitality. In Renaissance noble mansions, the lemon house was a symbol of prestige. Bright, sheltered spaces, characterized by large windows and carefully designed layouts to create the ideal microclimate for citrus fruits, became true spaces of distinction, successfully blending function and aesthetics. The Limonaia at Casa Ruffino still retains this original charm today. The recent restoration has enhanced the historic structure, harmoniously integrating it with the estate’s contemporary design, creating an intimate and elegant space. Overlooking the vineyards of Poggio Casciano and immersed in the silence of the Tuscan countryside, the Limonaia is thus transformed into an experiential destination with a deeply evocative character.
Cooking Class at Limonaia: A Journey Through Tuscan Tradition
Among the most immersive experiences offered at the new Limonaia are the new cooking classes designed for those who wish to discover the secrets of Tuscan cuisine in an authentic and refined setting. The experience begins with a welcome glass of wine and continues with the guided preparation of a three-course menu, using fresh, seasonal ingredients. At the end of the class, guests taste the dishes they’ve prepared, accompanied by two Ruffino wines.
The cooking class lasts 3 hours and can accommodate 2 to 12 participants. The price is 190 euros per person.

For those seeking an even more complete experience, Casa Ruffino offers The Tasting Table, an itinerary that combines wine, cuisine, and hospitality. The experience begins with a tour of the historic Poggio Casciano winery, a symbol of Ruffino’s production, followed by a tasting of three iconic wines: Modus Toscana IGT; Riserva Ducale Oro Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, and Greppone Mazzi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG. Afterward, guests participate in a cooking class in the Limonaia, preparing a three-course menu and enjoying a final tasting paired with two Ruffino wines.

The price is 280 euros per person.
