European Le Mans Series debuts at Mugello Circuit

From September 26 to 29, in the famous Tuscan circuit, the event that encompasses speed and adrenaline

This weekend the European Le Mans Series, the Endurance competition reserved for LMP2, LMP2 Pro/Am, LMP3 and LMGT3 cars, makes its debut at Mugello Circuit. There are 42 cars on the grid vying for victory in a breathtaking four-hour race where drivers in the categories compete until the last lap to gain the top spot. The rules are clear: each driver must drive at least 40 minutes during the race, and the winner is the one whose car will have covered the greatest distance in the relevant category.

Among the big names on the track are familiar faces such as Robert Kubica, former Formula 1 driver and 2023 champion in the WEC in LMP2 (you can read our interview here), Nicklas Nielsen, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2024 in the Hypercar class in the Maranello 499P, Paul Di Resta and Aston Martin reserve driver Felipe Drugovich. There will be no shortage of young hopefuls, including Arthur Leclerc, brother of Ferrarista Charles Leclerc and Nelson Piquet Jr.

Ferrari 296, Porsche 911, Aston Martin Vantage, Lamborghini Huracan, Proton, Ligier JS, Duqueine M30, Oreca 07 these among the cars that will speed down the long Mugello straight. A weekend of pure adrenaline, where the roar of engines and the passion for four wheels are the real protagonists.

  • The Championship

Over the past decade, the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) has established itself as the preferred choice for top teams and drivers from around the world eager to qualify for the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans. With a calendar of six four-hour races on Europe's most technical circuits, the ELMS is a true test case for those aspiring to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship and reach the pinnacle of the sport: the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The ELMS grid has as many as 43 cars, divided into four classes: LMP2, LMP2 Pro/Am, LMP3 and LMGT3. Up for grabs for the best teams in each category is not only the championship title, but also the coveted automatic invitation to Le Mans-a unique opportunity for aspiring LMP2, LMP2 Pro/Am, LMP3 and LMGT3 champions. The series attracts world-class drivers, including former Formula 1 and WEC stars, as well as young up-and-comers and gentlemen drivers, creating a unique mix of experience and talent that makes each race compelling and unpredictable.

  • The Paddock

The spectator has the opportunity to experience the behind-the-scenes of the race with a ticket that allows access to the paddock, center grandstand, pit walk, autograph session and starting grid.

  • Appointments not to be missed

Saturday: ELMS qualifying, Ligier European Series races, Michelin Le Mans Cup, Porsche Carrera Cup France and at 7:45 p.m. the pit walk.

Sunday: 09:40-10:10 a.m. Pit walk and autograph session, 10:45 a.m. grid walk, 11:30 a.m. spectacular start of the ELMS Information and schedule at mugellocircuit.com.

  • Tickets valid for Saturday and Sunday

Two ticket categories: Discovery which allows access to the Paddock, Central Grandstand and Lawn (12 euros full, 10 reduced); Premium to experience the race as a protagonist in the Starting Grid and Pit walk, in addition to Paddock, Central Grandstand and Lawn (17 euros full, 15 reduced).
