Puccini's most intimate opera goes on stage at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Sign the direction, Chiara Muti

From December 9 to 27, 2021, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino will stage Giacomo Puccini's Madama Butterfly. The direction is by Chiara Muti while the conductor of the orchestra and choir of the Maggio is Francesco Ivan Ciampa.

Butterfly will be sung by Svetlana Aksenova, one of the voices which are becoming more and more popular on the international scene. In the role of Pinkerton, the tenor Sergej Skorokhodov, star of the Mariinsky Theatre of Saint Petersburg, with a recent triumph at La Scala.
