Momenting the Memento. From 12 to 16 May in Florence

All you need to know about the event dedicated to the international language of art

Get ready to welcome in the city Momenting Memento, international research project and networking to discuss the cultural value of the fashion and the future of education, through an interdisciplinary dialogue with the languages ​​of contemporary art and culture.

An international audience of professionals from the worlds of fashion, academics and researchers, creative and art lovers, fashion, architecture, writing, philosophy and design, for a moment of confrontation involving cultural and artistic landmarks of the city such as Palazzo Vecchio, the 'Opera di Santa Croce, the National Library, Palazzo Strozzi and Villa Favard, the seat of the institute.

From May 12 to 16, Florence will host the conference IFFTI2015 - International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes, the foundation which brings together 46 institutions in the fashion world.

As of May 12, the Momenting Memento - edited by Linda Loppa, Director of Polimoda - involve the city cradle of the Renaissance with an intense program, articulated in conversations and debates with guests of international, installations, performances and video project in prime locations art and inspiration of the Tuscan capital.

Fashion, art, architecture, writing and human sciences, in their multiple keys of interpretation, will be the protagonists of the debate and experimentation involving 46 institutions from around the world, 37 countries, 100 international delegates and more than 500 participants including young talents, researchers, designers, artists and fashion professionals compared.

Protagonists 6 survey areas: Body, Calligraphy, Craft, Dress, Imagery, Space. Central themes of the event, presented and related to each other through 26 installations and performance, the result of a selection of the best ideas and projects submitted to Polimoda from all over the world through the network of IFFTI.

In calendar also three special evenings on 13, 14 and 15 May, respectively at Palazzo Strozzi, Villa Favard and the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio, evocative locations open in extraordinary capacity for guests of the event.
