Negramaro in concert in Florence on October 12, 2025
At the Nelson Mandela Forum with Negramaro: among memories, surprises and the promise of a big party
Just a few months to go until Negramaro return to the stage at the Nelson Mandela Forum. On October 12, 2025, the beloved band from Salento will headline one of the most anticipated stops of their Negramaro Palasport 2025 tour, which will kick off in late September and travel through Italy’s major cities.
Following the success of their latest album Free Love (Sugar), Negramaro are set to bring their music back to the stage with a show that promises to be nothing short of spectacular. The Florence concert on October 12 will be one of the tour’s key dates, blending new tracks with the most iconic songs from the band’s 20-year career.
During the press conference, frontman Giuliano Sangiorgi highlighted the band’s strong bond with the Tuscan capital: “We’re so happy to be coming back to Florence. The last time was in 2019, but the memory of this city is always alive in us. Florence has always welcomed us in an incredible way — the audience here is full of passion, they burn with energy. I can’t wait to be back.”
Sangiorgi also recalled how Florence has supported the band from the very beginning: “In 2005, we arrived at Sanremo as unknowns, but we were already packing small clubs in Florence, Bologna, and Rome. The support we've received from this city since day one is something we'll never forget.”

The Florence concert promises to be filled with emotion and surprises. Alongside the new tracks from Free Love, there will be plenty of room for the band’s most iconic hits — including Estate, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
“This tour is a return to our people,” explained drummer Danilo Tasco. “A tribute to those who have supported us and continue to do so.” “We love to surprise — but more than anything, we love to surprise ourselves first,” added Giuliano Sangiorgi.
There may even be some unexpected guests on stage: “If a fellow artist drops by to say hi before the show, I just can’t help but invite them on stage,” Giuliano shared. “Music is about sharing. It’s always been that way for us, since the days of Arezzo Wave, which gave us so much. I truly hope it returns with the same generational energy it once had.”
The decision to return to indoor arenas — including Florence’s Nelson Mandela Forum — is no coincidence: “Playing in venues like this gives us a unique kind of expressive freedom. It’s the perfect size for us, somewhere between a theater and a stadium. These are the places where we feel most at home, and where our audience can truly experience the emotion of our live shows.”
