Peck's Christmas in Forte dei Marmi

The haute cuisine brand brings the Ambrosian Christmas ritual to the heart of Versilia

After last year's success, the temple of Milanese gastronomy Peck reopens its Forte dei Marmi shop for the festive season and until 8 January 2023 offers a special menu full of delicacies to celebrate Christmas at its best and to toast the New Year with family and friends.

Peck Forte dei Marmi Ph Santi Caleca

'Forte dei Marmi and Versilia in general,' admits Peck CEO Leone Marzotto, 'is a land rich in food and wine tradition and excellent raw materials. At Forte we bring not only a gastronomy and a wine shop, but all our passion and tradition. When we landed here, two years ago now, we immediately realised the great potential and the excellent feedback we could get. So it seemed natural to us to open for the second time during the festive season, to make our products of the period tasted in Versilia as well".

A veritable temple of taste, which will be 140 years old next year, has brought all the great classics proposed by the brand for the festive season to Versilia as well: from the unfailing zampone and cotechino to a host of handcrafted products of excellence. Fresh pasta, lobsters in cocktail sauce, the legendary Russian salad and the Peck pâté, made with high quality choice meat, butter, natural flavourings, and many years of experience. A delicacy that has always been handcrafted to delight the Milanese tables, and not only, during the winter season.

Among the most popular specialities are tagliatelle and tagliolini, as well as many types of filled pasta, such as the renowned ravioli and tortellini, much in demand at this time of year and available both in the classic spinach and ricotta version and filled with high-quality meat, as well as many other seasonal variations such as those with wild salmon, octopus and gorgonzola and pears. Then there are capons stuffed with meat and chestnuts, Peck caviar, and anchovy fillets from the Cantabrian Sea. A veritable riot of fresh and packaged products.

In the rich Peck showcase, the sweet symbol of Christmas stands out, the Panettone that the haute gastronomy brand proposes, in the most classic version, but also in 5 variants: all are distinguished by the quality of their dough, obtained thanks to a 72-hour processing time, and by the use of highly selected ingredients. This year's unmissable novelty is the new and exclusive Special Edition with marron glacé and chocolate, made in only 200 pieces: a perfect gift idea for friends and relatives proposed in a refined gift box, accompanied by a marron glacé and whisky cream and a Peck spatula to apply it.

Alongside excellent food we find excellent bottles. In fact, from its Milanese wine store, one of the best stocked in Italy with over 3,500 references, Peck brings to the Forte a selection of labels from the most prestigious wineries, with magnum and double magnum bottles of the best vintages for toasting during the festive season. Top-level proposals that promise a true journey among Italy's finest wines, with a special tribute reserved for Tuscany with Masseto Tenuta dell'Ornellaia and Solaia Marchese Antinori. But there is also plenty of Piedmont with Gaja's Sorì Tildin and Roberto Conterno's Barolo Riserva Monfortino, as well as Trentino with the Brut Giulio Ferrari Riserva. Of course, there is no shortage of Champagne: special attention is reserved for France with some extremely rare and prestigious labels such as Château Lafite Rothschild and Chateau Latour.
