Stitch, the Disney alien at the Accademia Gallery in Florence
On display through June 20 in the Florentine museum
From the galaxy to the Accademia Gallery, with a trail of chaos and wonder: Stitch, the irreverent alien protagonist of the new film Lilo & Stitch, has raided the Renaissance masterpieces. He is at the heart of the new video made by Disney in collaboration with the Florentine museum to mark the launch of the new film.
In the film, Stitch lands aboard his spaceship directly in the museum's halls, wreaking havoc among visitors and works. But it is his encounter with Michelangelo's David that changes everything: faced with the absolute symbol of Renaissance genius, the extraterrestrial troublemaker turns into an artist and creates a work of his own. Not just fiction: in fact, Stitch's work will be on temporary display in the Accademia Gallery and can be admired until June 20, 2025.

The initiative, promoted by Disney Italy and made possible thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Culture, has a strong educational and popularizing value. The goal? To bring audiences of all ages closer to Italian art and cultural heritage through a contemporary, engaging and accessible language. A creative and unexpected way to bring art closer to even the youngest - and not only.
