Tuscany remains in the Orange Zone

After five weeks in the yellow zone, Toscana switched to orange last week.

From Sunday 14 February, after five weeks in the yellow zone, Tuscany will be back in orange. The calculations made by the Regional Health Agency leave no room for doubt: Tuscany's Rt is 1.09, with a confidence interval ranging from 1.04 to 1.15.

The President of Tuscany, Eugenio Giani, also confirms that Tuscany has entered the orange zone. Starting next Sunday, if the Ministry of Health respects the timetable used so far, bars, restaurants and museums will have to remain closed in our region and all the rules for the scenario with more restrictions than the yellow zone will have to be observed. Of course, the curfew remains in place from 10 pm to 5 am.

Here are the new restrictions:

Travel restrictions: at any time of the day or night, it is forbidden to leave one's own municipality and region, except for work, study, health and necessity.

Consumption inside the premises (and in the vicinity) is prohibited. Take-away food and beverages can be purchased on all premises until 6 p.m. After 6 p.m. and until 10 p.m. only on premises with a kitchen.

Home delivery of food without time restrictions. Eating and drinking on the street or in parks is prohibited from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Moving to a second home, even outside the region, is permitted. The possibility of moving to a second home is allowed "only to those who can prove that they were actually entitled to do so" before the Decree Law of 14 January 2021 came into force.

closure of exhibitions and museums.

closure of shopping centres on both public and private holidays.

All shops, hairdressers and barbershops remain open, as do supermarkets (and with them all food shops, with the exception of bars, restaurants and bakeries), pharmacies and parapharmacies and sports centres.
