50 Days of Cinema in Florence

From October 28 to December 9, the tenth edition of the film festival biggest Italian

"50 Days of International Cinema in Florence", the largest film festival in Italy, is ten years old. An important anniversary that will be celebrated and crowned with the inauguration of La Compagnia, the new Casa del Cinema of Tuscany (in Cavour 50 / r in Florence) that will host the 2016 edition, as the opening event.

Confirmed on the bill ninth international festival, to cominicare from France Odeon (October 28-November 1), festival that brings to Florence the best in contemporary French cinema, which as usual will lead the way, followed by Una Finestra sul Nord (2- November 3), which this year extends it horizons to the Scandinavian cinema.

Following the Festival Internazionale di Cinema e Donne (5 to 9 November) that its inspiration from northern European countries will propose a reflection on gender equality and that it will pass the baton to the Florence Queer Festival (November 10 - 15) that will widen the perspective to LGBTI issues.

From November 16 to 20 at the space and art films to films on contemporary arts with Lo Schermo dell'Arte Film Festival, an event that creates connections increasingly intense and close together with the main places of artistic production of the contemporary international level.

The 50 Days continues, November 21 to 24, with an initiative that already three editions held in collaboration with the Cineteca di Bologna, Il Cinema Ritrovato, demonstrating how a survey geared to contemporary languages continue to draw to the movies the great masters of all time.

Great expectations every year for the program of documentaries proposed by the Festival dei Popoli (November 25-December 2) this year in its 57th edition, whose program is perfectly suited with the main vocation of the Casa del Cinema; the documentary.
