European Night of Museums 2022: all venues open for 1 euro

Saturday 14 May special price ticket to visit the most beautiful places in and around Florence

Saturday 14 May sees the return of the European Night of Museums 2022 and also in Florence it will be possible to enter some of the city's most beautiful art venues by paying a symbolic ticket of 1 euro.

The event, which takes place at the same time all over the continent, aims to bring citizens closer to places of culture. Let us take a look at the main extraordinary openings.

  • The Uffizi will be open extraordinarily from 19.00 to 22.00.

  • The Bargello Museum will extend its opening, the last access will be at 9.20 p.m. and the public will be able to stay in the rooms, which also house the large exhibition on Donatello, until 10 p.m.

  • The Museo dell'Opificio delle Pietre Dure can be visited from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., no reservation is necessary and last admission is at 9.30 p.m.

  • The National Archaeological Museum will open its doors until 11 pm.

  • The Archaeological Museum in Fiesole will open with free admission from 7.00 to 11.30 pm.

There are many initiatives also in the surroundings of Florence, in Prato the Museo del Tessuto will be open in the evening from 9.00 p.m. to midnight with an entrance fee of 1 euro. Reservation is not necessary. The Centro Pecci, also in Prato, will be open until midnight with a €1 entrance fee. An opportunity to visit the exhibitions The Garden of Art. In Siena, doors open at Santa Maria della Scala and the Museo Civico, from 9.00 p.m. until midnight, with last admission at 11.00 p.m. It will also be possible to visit the exhibition dedicated to Federigo Tozzi with a single reduced ticket of €5. Doors open at night also at the National Art Gallery from 8.00 to 11.00 pm.

While in Pistoia, the Pistoia Civic Museums will be open free of charge from 9.00 pm to midnight, last entrance at 11.30 pm. Doors open at the Civic Museum of Ancient Art in the Palazzo Comunale, the museum of the Spedale del Ceppo, and the museum of the 20th century and contemporary art in Palazzo Fabroni.
