Get to the SE • STO on Arno young and talented Chef Matteo Lorenzini, that from November it signed the menu, sharing with the spectacular rooftop Bar & Restaurant of The Westin Excelsior Florence the idea of an international cuisine, classical and creative at same time.
The foundations of the kitchen by Matteo reflect the aesthetics of the environment: elegant and essential, creativity never far from the great school of tradition.
Born in Siena in 1985, honored by the Espresso among the best young talent for the short but extraordinary experience at Tre Lune of Cadenzano, Matteo is a talent already known to the criticism, which in 2014 awarded him its first Michelin star.
He graduated at the historic hotel management school Buontalenti Florence, after some important experiences in Tuscany, Matteo has spent more than six years in France, where he had the opportunity to grow and learn alongside masters such as Alaine Ducasse.
And now the choice to return to Tuscany, on a stage like SE•STO on Arno: the lure of land and roots, an essential source of inspiration, are the new testing ground on which to start his new challenging path.
A SE•STO on Arno Matteo Lorenzini takes his inspiration always balanced. Interpreting in a passionate but never nostalgic way the French techniques and offering dishes with a contemporary and international taste, executed with rigor.
Excellent raw materials agreed with inspiration and harmony, enriched by impressions sometimes multiethnic but always in close connection with the territory.
An example of the dishes of the new menu signed Lorenzini? Golden scallops, chestnuts and lime, or the animella roasted, salad and radish flavored with hazelnut and among the desserts Come il Mont-Blanc. Unmissable!
