Michelangelo Pistoletto at the Central Market in Florence

From Tuesday, December 8 installation of the great contemporary artist

Tuesday, December 8 at 19 the Mayor Dario Nardella and Umberto Montano, President of the Central Market in Florence, turn on a light installation evocative and amazing, a great work for four hands by Michelangelo Pistoletto together with Colombian Juan E. Sandoval, by Domenico Montano and Nicolas Ballario.

Michelangelo Pistoletto needs no introduction: universally recognized as the most important contemporary artist, for 60 years dominating the scenes of the national art scene with its extraordinary works, exhibited in major museums of the world.

The great artist, born in Biella in 1933, he decided to "land" in Florence with beautiful and unique artwork realized specially for the Central Market and sees curated by Nicolas Ballario and Domenico Montano.

The titanic windows Market, reminiscent of a cathedral, on the occasion of Christmas in Florence will become an art installation light that the Master of Arte Povera realize together with the artist Colombian Juan E. Sandoval: it is a "Third paradise ", belonging therefore to an artistic project that the great master continues the early years of the new millennium.

The Third Heaven of the Central Market will have the power to engage people in a dreamlike journey, through which the sun by day and skilful lighting at night, will color the space with an amazing play of light.

After the "Flying Carpet" of Daniel Buren, for the second consecutive year, the Central Market, once again becomes a place of art, a key step of the Florentine art scene.
