Guest Menswear Designer of this edition, Juun.JIl Korean designer whose creative research in menswear continues to attract, parade after parade, the attention of the international community of fashion, presents for the first time in Florence his men's collection with a unique event its kind.
Protagonist, the creativity of its fashion in 3D: A "street tailoring" crossed by classical references, which expertly mixes Asian roots and heritage tailoring, rigorous silhouettes and volumes futuristic, military influences and Parisian cosmopolitanism.
Womenswear Guest Designer is instead Marco De Vincenzo. Born in 1978, the Messina-born designer is leather goods design director of the fashion house Fendi, with whom he collaborated for over 15 years. In 2009 he created his brand, and in 2014 part of the joint venture with LVMH.
Marco De Vincenzo is one of the best Italian talent in the world, for the contemporaneity of his vision and the silhouette readable, marked by the color of his women's collections. Pitti Immagine chooses to represent its unique style with a project which stages a spectacular performance, in a new space in the city of Florence.
Project Designer of Pitti Uomo 89, adidas Originals by White Mountaineering. A special event in which the codes of adidas Originals are reinterpreted by Yosuke Aizawa, soul of the Japanese brand White Mountaineering, a collection for a man with a highly innovative approach, combining tradition and technical materials, design and functionality.
A return to Florence for Yosuke Aizawa - that with his brand had already been protagonist in Pitti for the European debut - this time together with adidas, the brand among the most advanced in the world of sportswear.
