Strings City 2018
The music invades Florence with appointments in 50 places of culture
The first weekend of December returns Strings City, the first widespread festival dedicated to stringed instruments in Italy. A real marathon throughout the city and beyond.
Among the highlights of the Saturday two international violin stars, Kirill Torussov and Aiman Mussakhajayeva.
In all, more than 50 hours of music for 80 events in over 50 cultural sites, up to four municipalities of the metropolitan area, on board three regional trains Trenitalia with musicians who will perform during the journeys. From the great classical to the contemporary jazz, the city will vibrate to the sound of strings, pianos, harps, guitars and extraordinary voices. All appointments are free: some musical moments are free admission subject to availability, while for others reservations are required. Even for those in full, it remains the possibility of access: any places booked, in fact, but remain free at 5 minutes from the beginning of the concert, will be made available to the public.
