In 1979, Florentine shopkeepers held a competition to commemorate the well-known Florentine architect Bernardo Buontalenti. The Badiani ice-cream parlour entered and won the prize with an ice-cream called 'Buontalenti', made with cream, milk, sugar and eggs. Thus was born the flavour that has embroidered the city's ice-cream tradition, and also the most imitated by Florentine ice-cream parlours. Delivery also on Deliveroo and Just Eat.

Cinzia's style today is unmistakable: attention to local producers and seasonal raw materials. In fact, she uses milk from a local farm, produces organically and is 100% sustainable. Not to be missed among others is the coffee flavour, bitter and ristretto to the right point, it is a must for all customers.

Vivoli, one of Florence's historic ice-cream parlours, in the heart of Santa Croce. A gem? His ice cream served in the wine cellar. Don't miss the cream named after him, Vivoli in fact. Few but good ingredients: milk, sugar, eggs and dextrose. Without other flavourings. Order it poached in espresso coffee (in this case it is called Crema Caffè) in the classic porcelain cup or in take-away format. Also try the Zabaione, a real delicacy.

The winning flavour of an edition of the Firenze Gelato Festival is named after the ice-cream parlour. In the Procopio flavour you will taste Avola almond, pistachio sauce and candied orange peel. The death of it? The pistachio dop di Bronte flavour and Don Raffae', coffee-flavoured ice cream.
