This Week in Florence (29 October/4 November)

The beginning of the Leonardian celebrations, Halloween and a few tips for the long weekend

MONDAY 29: finally arrived the day of the inauguration of the long-awaited exhibition The Water Microscope of Nature, curated by Paolo Galluzzi with the famous Leicester Code by Leonardo da Vinci, which returns to Florence, to be precise in the Uffizi (until as of January 20th).

TUESDAY 30: tonight, The Musical Box, the Canadian band famous all over the world for the ability to revive the emotions of Genesis's repertoire and costumes, at the Teatro Verdi with the unpublished show entitled "A Genesis Extravaganza". From today until November 4 at the Pergola Bella Figura by Yasmina Reza with Anna Foglietta, Paolo Calabresi, Lucia Mascino, David Sebasti, and with Simona Marchini.

WEDNESDAY 31: The appointment with witches and ghosts is now a classic also in Florence. At 7pm, at the Central Market, Dolcetto, scherzetto or crime: a mystery has upset the market, who has made Mr. Ettore Digiuno out? He or she will solve the yellow can toast with a Martini cocktail. At the same time, in the "scary" Parco delle Cascine, the third edition of the "Florence Halloween Run", a 5 km fun-motor event with horror theme disguises (info on www.halloweenrun.it). At Obihall a special evening with Black Asteroid, Raffaele Attanasio, Skin dj set and Supernova! The Halloween Party returns to the Hard Rock Coffee, as well as the Tenax with Ben Klock at the console.
While for fans of comics, from now until November 4, the obligatory stage is the Lucca Comics, this year dedicated to Made in Italy. The Lacuna Coil concert is scheduled for Halloween.

THURSDAY 1: in addition to the exhibition on the Leicester Code, and the one on Marina Abramovic at Palazzo Strozzi, those who love art, for the festival of All Saints in the city, can click here to learn about the most beautiful exhibitions.

FRIDAY 2: at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino theater, for the 90th anniversary of the Florentine Stable Orchestra Fabio Luisi conducts symphony n. 2 in C minor for soloists, choir and orchestra Resurrection By Gustav Mahler

SATURDAY 3: at Teatro Goldoni tonight and tomorrow Federico Maria Sardelli with Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. The masterpieces of some of the most important composers of all time are on the program.

SUNDAY 4: for this late bridge Sunday, for you taste tips, in the city, with the favorite restaurants of starred chefs and the best brunch in town.
