Tuscany in Orange zone from Monday, April 12 but Florence remains in the red zone until Saturday 17

In addition to the metropolitan city of Florence, Prato, Alta Valdelsa and the leather area remain red

It 'official our region will return to the orange zone as early as Monday, April 12, as confirmed by the Minister Speranza, although many areas including Florence will remain in the red zone.

The Governor of Tuscany, however, specifies that not all the region will return to orange and that the municipalities with an index per 100,000 inhabitants above 250.

They remain in the red zone until 14.00 on Saturday, April 17, as indicated on the website of the region, the metropolitan city of Florence and the province of Prato, the municipalities of San Miniato, Montopoli in Val d'Arno, Santa Croce sull'Arno, Castelfranco di Sotto part of the Province of Pisa but included in the social health area Valdarno Empolese Valdelsa, the municipalities of Poggibonsi, San Gimignano, Colle di Val d'Elsa, Casole d'Elsa, Radicondoli included in the social health area Alta Valdelsa.

In the orange zone we will see the reopening of many schools (in the red zone were open only schools up to 1 media), boutiques, hairdressers and beauty centers.

We all hope, with the start of the summer season and the continuation of vaccinations, that this is the first step towards a gradual decrease in contagions and that soon even restaurants, museums and theaters will be able to reopen.

Today Tuscany has an RT index of 1.01, then very close to the yellow zone of the old decree - explained Giani - and an index of 230 infections per 100,000 inhabitants, then below the threshold of 250.
