The kermesse returns October 29-November 1 with great events, prestigious guests, previews and releases

The famous Tuscan fair dedicated to lovers of games, video games and comics returns to animate Lucca from October 29 to November 1.

An opportunity for 80 thousand people to live again, after last year's digital edition, the event that this year more than ever embraces the transition to new models of cultural entertainment and brings to its audience the best of comics, games, storytelling and contemporary mythologies, with the stands of the creative industries that represent them.

Many prominent names that will cross the walls of Lucca in the coming days, including the master of comics Frank Miller who will be in Lucca for the presentation of the documentary dedicated to him.

Netflix does not abandon the festival and for the second season of The Witcher, which will arrive on streaming on December 17, will bring to Lucca again the showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and another part of the cast, Kim Bodnia, Danish actor who joins the cast of the series for this new season and who will play the character of Vesemir and Joey Batey. Also in attendance will be costume designer Lucinda Wright and production designer Andrew Laws. The panel open to the public will be Friday 29 at the Central Cinema at 15.

Among the films, the highly anticipated screening of Ghostbusters: Legacy, the new chapter in the Ghostbusters saga, and special screenings of Searchlight Pictures' The
Night House and Antlers.

Another great news is the alliance between the Uffizi Galleries and Lucca Comics & Games. 52 self-portraits by some of the brightest comic book artists on the Italian scene will enter the collection of the Uffizi Galleries. The works - created with different techniques, formats and styles - will be presented at Lucca Comics & Games 2021 from October 8 to November 1 as part of the exhibition "Comics in the Museums | Self-portraits of the Uffizi" curated by Mattia Morandi and Chiara Palmieri. From the 'A' of ALTAN to the 'Z' of ZUZU, the new nucleus of self-portraits, ranging from numerous languages and different generations, will be a real atlas of contemporary Italian comics that will enrich the collection of self-portraits of the Uffizi Gallery, known to be the richest and most prestigious in the world.

The day of October 31st, called Tuono Day, will be entirely dedicated to the great Italian
cartoonist Andrea Paggiaro, aka Tuono Pettinato, who died prematurely last June, with the presentation of a documentary about him and the play based on his Corpicino, which will continue the union between comics and theater, the so-called Graphic Novel Theatre, after Kobane Calling and Cinzia.

It promises to be very interesting the Rock 'n Comics section with the presence of Caparezza, Pau of Negrita, Shade and Lacuna Coil, to which has been added Mahmood, who on the occasion of the release of his book "Ghettolimpo - Sui sentieri dell'anima". Mahmood, who on the occasion of the release of his book "Ghettolimpo - Sui sentieri dell'anima" (On the paths of the soul), will talk with Sio about music and comics, in a meeting moderated by Luca Valtorta that will take place on Sunday 31st October at 3.30 pm at the Auditorium San Francesco.

Videogames fans will find a large area where they can play together, and every day at the Auditorium San Romano, renamed Esport Cathedral for the 4 days of the festival, the Italian Esports Open will be back. It will start on October 29, from 13:00, with the watch party of the online tournament Solo Crank Arena. During the second day of the fair instead space for Pokémon with the Pokémon Lucca Party, which from 11:00 onwards will stage an entire day of themed shows in the company of the community of Pokémon Millennium. The third day will be almost entirely dedicated to RIOT Games and its many important titles.

The last day of the Festival will instead be completely dedicated to mobile gaming, with the Clash Royale Lucca Showdown, which from 12:00 will kick off three different show match tournaments, the first between pro-players, the second between influencers to get to the final tournament that will see mixed teams composed of both categories.
