Wine Stories. Vermentino di Guado al Tasso 2019. D.O.C. Bolgheri
The first appointment with the protagonists of wine in Tuscany, told through their best labels
Antonio Stelli, A.I.S. delegate for the province of Grosseto. A deep lover of the territory and a skilful communicator, as well as a promoter of the excellences that inhabit it, he accompanies us on a journey rich in taste and beauty around the lands from where the excellence of winemaking in Tuscany is born.
We are at Marchesi Antinori Tenuta Guado al Tasso, located in the small and prestigious DOC of Bolgheri, on the coast of the Upper Maremma, a hundred kilometers southwest of Florence. This denomination has a relatively short history (it was born in 1994) but boasts an international reputation as a new reference point in the world wine scene.
Tenuta Guado al Tasso covers an area of about 320 hectares planted with vines in a splendid plain surrounded by hills known as the "Bolgheri amphitheatre" for its particular conformation.
