At a very young age, Ugo Camiciotti moved to Paris where he won the favour of great fashion designer Pierre Balmain, of whom he would be a sort of alter ego for nearly twenty years. However, his true passion was furniture, in particular, elegant nineteenth-century French furniture, overloaded with gold and decorations, very attractive to the sight. When he came back to Florence, he decided to start his own gallery. And so, Galleria Camiciotti has been offering beautiful and strictly French vintage furniture since 1967. Today, his grandson Stefano, a man of deep artistic feeling, offers advice to the discerning clientele of this little corner of France in the heart of Florence.
