Established in Florence in 1921, the Gucci fashion house, now under the eclectic creative direction of Alessandro Michele, has its flagship store on Via de’ Tornabuoni, opposite the magnificent Palazzo Strozzi. The boutique, which was started in 1967, covers an area of 1,270 square meters: housed on the ground floor are the rooms devoted to accessories, men’s shoes, luggage and a corner in which the items on display change regularly; womenswear, menswear and women’s shoes are showcased on the first floor, while the kids line is found on the second floor. Another Gucci shop, overlooking Florence’s stunning Duomo, is devoted to the fashion house’s accessories. On display in this 279-square-meter space are the accessory collection, men’s and women’s shoes and the travel line on the first floor.
