Displayed in the museum’s 25 rooms, a vast collection covering most of the world’s populations: from Africa, Asia, Oceania to the Amazonian tribes. Documentation and preservation of the finds began in the Medicean period and continued over the centuries with the many expeditions that followed, in particular, the third expedition by Sir James Cook.
