Nelson Mandela Forum (formerly known as Palasport) is the most important sports palace in Florence. Inaugurated in 1985, it is located in the area of Campo di Marte, near the Artemio Franchi football stadium. The title to Nelson Mandela, which dates back to 2004, was the symbol of the meeting and of an open, global and multicultural community. It hosts sporting events, concerts, political congresses, various meetings, exhibitions, musicals and film festivals.
