All the must-see festivals in August in Tuscany
Elisa, Sangiovanni, Drusilla Foer, Giorgio Panariello: discover all the names for a summer of music and entertainment in Tuscany
This summer marked the great return of live music. Florence and Tuscany have seen many festivals alternating in recent weeks, bringing international names and Italian stars back to the most beautiful stages in our region.
August also promises to be full of shows and festivals not to be missed, let's find out which ones and where together!
43° FESTIVAL DE LA VERSILIANA
With a cast of more than 40 of the most established artists in Italian musicals and theatre, including Luca Ward, Paolo Conticini, Sergio Muniz and Sabrina Marciano, and a live orchestra, the audience will be able to go wild, sing and have fun. Lightness and elegance also with box-office champion Drusilla Foer, who returns to Versiliana with her Eleganzissima Estate on 6 August. Evenings of laughter with the Legnanesi on stage with Canta e Ridi together with Matteo Bensi's Orchestra (8 August), with Giorgio Panariello's great show in La favola mia on 14 August, and with the comedy of Maurizio Battista in Tutti contro tutti (24 August). On Tuesday 16 August, the concert by the Achtung Babies, the most famous U2 tribute band in the world, with thousands of concerts under their belt in 22 years of experience and a European tour that has taken them to Holland, Spain, Turkey, Ireland, Switzerland, Belgium and France. On Monday 22 August, the Versiliana's curtain will rise to revive the tale of Freddie Mercury and Queen with Queenmania, Europe's most acclaimed tribute to the English band.

FESTIVAL MONT’ALFONSO SOTTO LE STELLE IN GARFAGNANA
Until 21 August in the heart of the Garfagnana region, music, theatre and shows take place in ancient fortresses and in the natural parks of the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, as well as excursions, guided tours and tasty treats. Among the guests on Thursday 4 August at the Fortezza di Mont'Alfonso in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana Stefano Massini pays tribute to Giorgio Gaber with the show Quando sarò capace di amare. Friday 5 August sees the arrival of Aka7even. Friday 12 August all the comedy of Giorgio Panariello at the Fortezza di Mont'alfonso with La favola mia. Monday 15 August at 4.45 am pianist Danilo Rea. Gloria Forever is the live project that brings Umberto Tozzi to the Fortezza di Mont'alfonso on Thursday 18 August in the year of his 70th birthday. Sunday 21 August closes with a concert by the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina conducted by Giuseppe Lanzetta.

FOLLONICA SUMMER NIGHTS
Until 20 August, a rich calendar of appointments with some of the best-loved Italian artists animates the nights of Follonica. The appointment is confirmed at the Central Park where Sangiovanni arrives on Thursday 4 August with his Cadere Volare Live, Ghali's Summer Tour stops on 9 August, Wednesday 17 August is the turn of Rkomi with his Insuperabile Summer Tour, on 18 August the much-loved Grease the Musical, and on Saturday 19 August Jonathan Canini with Cappuccetto Rozzo.

CASTIGLIONCELLO FESTIVAL
In the picturesque setting of Castello Pasquini, concerts by some of Italy's best-loved artists return. The calendar of events includes guests on 5 August Sangiovanni, 9 August Ernia, 11 August Bresh, 13 August Family Reunion with Ricciarelli, Paganini and Insegno, 14 August Andrea Pucci, 17 August Grease the Musical, 25 August Elisa.

FESTIVAL PUCCINI DI TORRE DEL LAGO
In August, the performances and debuts of Giacomo Puccini's operas continue at the Puccini Festival of Torre del Lago: Madama Butterfly on the 6th, Tosca on the 13th and 26th, Turandot on the 12th and 20th, and La Rondine on the 19th and 27th. Also as part of the Puccini Festival on the 25th, at the Auditorium Enrico Caruso, Bruno Maderna's opera Satyricon with the Ensemble Auditorium Parco della musica di Roma debuts on a single date.
SUMMER KNIGHTS 2022 IN PISA
Aries, Achille Lauro, Francesco Gabbani and Elisa are the protagonists of the third edition of Summer Knights 2022, the container of cultural and entertainment events organised by the Municipality of Pisa. The Festival will be held from 8 to 17 September, in Piazza dei Cavalieri. The first event is on 8 September with Aries, on 12 September the stage will be taken by Achille Lauro, on 13 September it will be Francesco Gabbani's turn, and on 17 September Elisa will close the festival.

JOVA BEACH PARTY IN VIAREGGIO
The Jova Beach Party also returns to Tuscany with two dates in Viareggio on 2 and 3 September at the Muraglione in Darsena.

BEAT FESTIVAL IN EMPOLI
From 24 to 28 August, the Beat Festival returns to Empoli, on stage this year: Ditonellapiaga, Tananai, Chiello, Massimo Pericolo and Madman.
SETTEMBRE PRATO È SPETTACOLO
Prato's summer comes alive with the music of rapper Gemitaiz on 27 August, Margherita Vicario on 28 August, Wolfmother/Hardcoresuperstar on 29 August, Valerio Lundini and the Vazzanikki on 30 August, Sangiovanni arrives on 2 September, and Achille Lauro on 4 September.

DECIBEL OPEN AIR IN FLORENCE
On 10 and 11 September 2022 (noon to midnight), one of the most eagerly awaited festivals for fans of electronic music is coming to the Parco delle Cascine in Florence. The artists, both Italian and international, will be over 40. Among the events not to be missed are live performances by Paul Kalkbrenner, Caribou, Cosmo, Reinier Zonneveld and Vitalic, and DJ sets by Amelie Lens, Fisher, MACE, Marco Carola, Michael Bibi, Nina Kraviz, Peggy Gou and Richie Hawtin.

FLORENCE JAZZ FESTIVAL
On the strength of its polycentric and inclusive nature, aimed at bringing the best of jazz music to the streets, squares and some of the most beautiful locations in Oltrarno and beyond, from 8 to 18 September the Firenze Jazz Festival brings a rich array of proposals, ranging from more intimate experiences for connoisseurs to big concerts at Ultravox Firenze.
