Back to the Festival of Children in Florence

From 15 to 17 April more than 100 events for children in the beautiful location of the city

From the open air lesson in opera singing in the auditorium of the Opera at the meeting with ESA astronaut Luca Parmitano from 15 to 17 April 2016 he returned to Florence the Children's Festival and in creative activities and workshops you learn (even) cos' it is solidarity.

More than 100 free events for children between 0 and 13 years in the city center from the Palazzo Vecchio to the Oblate, from the Murate in San Firenze to the Cascine. A river of events between art, new technologies, theater, music and sports with a focus dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the flood of '66.

Children's Festival: New Worlds. Together is better! This is the full title of this third edition dedicated to solidarity.

Children can participate in the events planned by booking on the site of the Festival and choosing from the activities.

Special events: the record choir, the lectio with the astronaut and the dance show 2.0.

To kick off the program, Friday, April 15 to 18 in the auditorium of the Opera, "It's never too late ... To sing", a singing lesson open to the entire city.

At the Cango, the Compagnia Virgilio Sieni staged a dance step choreographic actions "Secret Rooms", with two replicas exclusively for participants of the festival, on 16 and 17 April.

Room for the little scientists with the laboratory "Research at the service" organized by researchers LABEC INFN, National Institute of Nuclear Physics. The workshop takes place in the scenic setting of three comics appeared on the Mickey Mouse magazine.

Among the appointment, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary, a substantial number of events dedicated to the flood of 1966, as the exhibition to be held at the Oblate which will exhibit the drawings and thoughts of the children of '66 or the photo exhibition in the Basilica San Lorenzo.

Inside the ex court young engineers will be set to work with "Kids at work. The yard of the imagination": a creative manual workshop, which will involve the children in the various phases of the development of an important and complex infrastructure such as the Variante di Valico.

Green light to the technology in the Sala d'Arme in Palazzo Vecchio thanks to "Smart Lab. The innovation park".

Lovers of multimedia games will find bread for their teeth to the Oblate thanks to the app and the laboratory "Elio and the Cacciamostri", with which it will be possible to experience the importance of energy conservation and understand what is essential for our planet.

Same location but different theme for the workshops "Better together: the earth is in our hands" during which, among other fun activities, will be colored and will mold the clay, it will paint and will listen to fairy tales theme.

The budding journalists will instead meet at Oblate where a miniature drawing will be held.

And again, events in the Montblanc boutique at Palazzo Signoria, Museo Marino Marino, Palazzo Strozzi and much more.

Last but not least, to close the three days we will think an exceptional protagonist as Lieutenant Colonel Luca Parmitano European Space Agency astronaut, pilot of the Air Force, who will hold a lecture in the Salone dei Cinquecento in Palazzo Vecchio Sunday morning .
