Dal 9 all '11 marzo, alla Stazione Leopolda di Firenze, torna il salone di Pitti Immagine dedicato alle eccellenze del gusto e alle novità della cultura food contemporanea

An extraordinary route from Saturday 9 to Monday 11 March at the Stazione Leopolda in Florence through the food excellences of the peninsula and the diversity of food culture, with incursions in lifestyle and design related to cuisine and surroundings Pitti Taste returns. A special focus on Planet Bread, a trend that speaks of tradition and sharing, geography and rediscoveries, uses and reuse.

Taste is at the same time a business platform and a container of trends and ideas on the contemporary culinary scene, which has become an edition in a must for the public of operators in the sector and for the most passionate food lovers. This fourteenth edition presents the news of nearly 400 companies a selection of the most qualified Italian realities of contemporary food and wine, alongside objects of food & kitchen design, garments and technical equipment for the kitchen.

At the Stazione Leopolda, an increasingly creative, surprising and tasty menu, made unique by the busy schedule of presentations, events and talks that take stock of the latest trends in the table and taste. In an involving and atmospheric setting course designed by Alessandro Moradei.

Planet Bread: the theme of this edition.
Regional specificities and family traditions, and at the same time important rediscoveries and new trends revolve around the main food of the menu: bread. With PIANETA PANE, theme of this edition, Pitti Taste celebrates an ancient and ever new food, with its social value, of sharing and aggregation. Bakers at work and on stage, with workshops and fresh bread to taste.

The route of Taste: for those who do not already know them, here are the main steps:

TASTE TOUR, the journey to discover and taste the products of all companies, selected from the best niche products and excellence from all over Italy. Also at this edition the route is enriched with the area at the Alcatraz space.

TASTE TOOLS, a selection of 14 brands with their objects of food & kitchen design, clothing, technical equipment and innovative proposals for the kitchen.

TASTE SHOP, at the Piazzale Gae Aulenti, is the shop where you can buy the exhibited and detailed products during the tasting process. Last year the store presented 1,846 types of products for over 17,100 pieces sold.

TASTE EVENTS: the space at the Teatro dell'Opera in Florence is a stage for a rich program of events, conversations, book presentations, tastings - as well as welcoming the Taste Ring and the area reserved for VIP buyers.

Among the important presentations at the Leopolda:

"La Fiorentina. Osti, butchers and wines of real steak ": the first book on a legendary specialty is born.
A Taste, Monday 11 March at 12.30 in the Ring area (Teatro dell'Opera), is staged the presentation of the first book entirely dedicated to Fiorentina: breeding, butchers and restaurants where to appreciate it in Florence, Tuscany and a few selected addresses in the world. Aldo Fiordelli, journalist and enogastronomic critic, tells the secrets of this dish a few months after his candidacy for UNESCO heritage, together with an exceptional moderator like Davide Paolini. A book published by Gruppo Editoriale, to be read and savored through a special photographic storytelling
