The Vita Nova Spa at Palazzo Portinari Salviati is a temple of wellness in the heart of Florence. The name pays homage to the first work in which Dante celebrates his love for Beatrice. It was Palazzo Portinari Salviati that gave birth to Beatrice Portinari, Dante's muse and his travelling companion through Paradise, and it was also here that - as Boccaccio narrates - during a feast at the Palazzo the supreme poet met his beloved for the first time, remaining enchanted.

The elegant spaces of the SPA were obtained from the ancient basement of the palace and occupy a total area of 500 square metres where a portion of a millenary road and fragments of walls dating back to Roman times were found, which are now visible to the public in the area adjacent to the gymnasium. Unexpected and precious finds that have come to light to testify to the Roman origins of Florence, formerly Florentia, which arose in the Arno Valley in the second half of the 1st century B.C. from a settlement of Roman legionaries.

The Spa includes a heated ozone-therapy pool with hydro-massage, 90° Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, fitness area, relaxation area with comfortable chaise longues where one can regenerate while sipping herbal teas from the Florence Tea Route, and three rooms for beauty treatments and rituals exclusively formulated with high quality raw materials and evident regenerating properties by Seed to Skin Tuscany, a spa line that effectively combines the ancient tradition of phytocosmetics with advanced molecular science.

Palazzo Portinari Salviati also houses elegant suites with precious 18th-century frescoes and luxurious flats overlooking the city's most prestigious streets and a breathtaking view of the Duomo and its majestic Brunelleschi dome, as well as Vito Mollica's Atto restaurant.

  The SPA detox package is recommended to regain your ideal feeling of well-being, thanks to our SPA path. Top it off with a purifying centrifuge, to be enjoyed at Salotto Portinari Bar & Bistrot.

• SPA & LUNCH
  Spend a day between wellness and luxury.
  Treat yourself to a complete wellness path and conclude the experience with a delicious lunch with typical recipes proposed by Chef Vito Mollica. Valid from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays)
