The philosophy that distinguishes LA SPA is modelled on the past of the place that hosts it: the centre is located where the Capitoline Baths of the Roman Florentia once stood, whose walls can be seen here and there along the wellness path that, as in the past, aims to realign mind, body and spirit. THE SPA boasts an articulated wet area that opens on the Calidarium (Hammam) and continues with the Aquamotus (Vichy Shower), the emotional showers, the Sudatorium (Finnish Sauna), the Frigidarium and the Tepidarium (Salt Room), which rests on a glass floor from which you can admire the medieval foundations. The reference to the original Roman names testifies to the non-coincidental coincidence of spaces already historically intended for the same use. The SPA is based on the ancient concept of Roman baths, based on the model of alternating hot and cold. Then there is the Lacus Quietis, the area dedicated to swimming pools, the real plus of LA SPA, which is the only one in the centre of Florence to boast two. Created in the space that was once occupied by the Banco di Roma vault, the pools offer different depths and water effects. From the wet area, the path leads on one side to the gym, and on the other to the first floor with the treatment cabins, including the Wellness Suite, with its private Turkish bath, ideal for couples' treatments.
