Discover all the Florentine museums open and free on Liberation Day
On Friday 25 April, Liberation Day, it will be possible to celebrate the occasion by immersing oneself in the beauty of Italy's cultural heritage. In fact, there are many open Florentine museums that adhere to the Ministry of Culture's initiative and guarantee free entry to all visitors.
In the Tuscan capital, you will be able to visit priceless masterpieces housed in the Uffizi Galleries, Palazzo Pitti and the Boboli Gardens free of charge, all with ordinary opening hours (8:15 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.).

25 April will also be the perfect opportunity to discover or rediscover the jewels of the Bargello National Museum, with its extraordinary collection of Renaissance sculpture, the Museum of the Medici Chapels, the burial place of the Grand Ducal Medici dynasty, the Orsanmichele Complex, rich in history and sacred art, and the Museum of Palazzo Davanzati, a fascinating testimony to domestic life in Florentine stately homes.
And again, at the National Archaeological Museum in Florence, the temporary exhibition Visions of Etruscan Myths and Rituals in Florence curated by Daniele Federico Maras continues, which has been extended until 5 May; at the Medici Villa in Poggio a Caiano, the exhibition of Pontormo's extraordinary Visitation continues in its new setting, and at the Museum of San Marco, it is possible to see, after a long restoration, the Deposition of Santa Trinita in the Beato Angelico Room.

All participating museums will offer free admission to all visitors, making art and historical memory the protagonists of this day.
