What to do on October 31 between theme parties and events for children and adults
It is time to get out the most monstrous costumes. The appointment with witches and ghosts born overseas is now a classic in Europe and Italy too, so we have selected - between trick-or-treaters and trick-or-treaters - some events not to be missed in Florence on the night of 31 October 2023.
Pumpkin Patch: a pumpkin patch in the style of American farms has been created in Reggello. Themed sets and spots have been installed and there is an area where you can carve and paint your own pumpkin. It is open every weekend in October, from Friday to Sunday, and also on 30 and 31 October. On Halloween Day, a theme party is scheduled from 5 p.m. onwards. Admission with reservation fee.
Florence Halloween Run: the recreational-motor run that during the night of October 31, 2023 transforms the Cascine Park into a dark forest. Along the 4-kilometer route, adults and children alike will find many spooky surprises, and prizes are awarded at the end for the best disguises. Disco: For Halloween night at the Tenax the Nobody's Perfect night sees behind the console Parisian DJ group Apollonia, consisting of Shonky, Den Ghenacia and Dyed Soundorom. At the Viper Theatre the Hot Shot - 90 in da house party from midnight onward, preceded at 8 p.m. by a concert by Roman rapper Il Tre. And again at Palazzo Borghese, the Borghese Circle is holding a dinner party followed by a party in the building's historic rooms. On the hills of Marignolle, the Villa Tolomei hotel returns to organize its classic Halloween party that includes dinner or apericena, DJ set and prizes for the best mask. Halloween party at Fattoria di Maiano: Fattoria di Maiano in Fiesole is transformed into an enchanted world for a Halloween party dedicated to children ages 4 to 10. From 5 to 7 p.m., little ones can participate in scary challenges and themed games such as a ghost scavenger hunt and witch collecting. The event is curated by Labsitters. Reservations required.
Enzo Pazzagli Art Park in Rovezzano: Every Sunday in October magic shows and entertainment in anticipation of the most mysterious night of the year. Wednesday, Oct. 31, the family party starting at 5 p.m. with Magician Robert, followed by picnic or street food, and finally on the afternoon of Nov. 1 Halloween continues with a children's theater workshop and animation by the La Divina Toscana company (admission plus show 7 euros, 6 euros for members).
Barberino Castle: transforms into the Castle of Monsters by offering a themed tour dedicated to families with children ages 3 to 12 during the weekend before Halloween. On Saturday, Oct. 28 and Sunday, Oct. 29, during the tour (in several shifts) you will meet bizarre characters and can participate in various activities such as workshops and performances.
