The best restaurants in and around Castiglioncello

Magical places to savour all the flavour of maritime delicacies along the Tuscan coast

A terrace overlooking the sea. The gentle sound of the waves, the salty air, the symphony of a thousand scents. Along the Tuscan coast, there are many little corners of paradise, with bathing establishments and restaurants, from the most gourmet to the most popular or curious. So let's start with the best around Castiglioncello.

Bagno Le Forbici
Via Aurelia, 1097A, 57016 - Rosignano Marittimo
ph: 0586 751029
Bagno Le Forbici is an oasis of wellbeing, comfortable and quiet, where you can experience the comfort of the many services offered while respecting nature. The best time to enjoy this marvel is undoubtedly at sunset, when people leave their sunbeds and head for the panoramic restaurant where, between a glass of bubbly and a delicious fish dish of the day, you can watch the sun greet the day by diving into the sea.

The Buccaneer
Viale Guglielmo Marconi, 22 - San Vincenzo
ph: 335 800 1695
Here we are in San Vincenzo where Fulvietto, Fulvio Pierangelini's son, continues his father's tradition in the restaurant Il Bucaniere. A palafitta on the beach with the design of Massimiliano Fuksas that is based on the quality of raw materials and brings to the table distinct flavors, simple but at the same time tasty. Don't miss the moment of sunset, one of the most beautiful on the entire coast.

La Lucciola
Viale Amerigo Vespucci, 1 - Rosignano Solvay-Castiglioncello
ph: 0586 753192
In the picturesque bay of Castiglioncello, framed by a centuries-old pine forest, stands the bar and restaurant La Lucciola located in the historic Bagni Ausonia. Thanks to its favourable position, which protects it from winds and humidity, it is the ideal place to dine al fresco on clear winter days and warm summer evenings. The restaurant has a large sheltered outdoor area, which takes on a special charm when the sun goes down, with the faint light of the lanterns and the waving of light gauze curtains. For summer lunches, it offers simple fish dishes, crispy fried food and rich salads, while in the evening the menu includes seafood dishes with a refined taste, delicate flavours and carefully prepared presentations.

La Baracchina Restaurant
Via del Faro, 57027 San Vincenzo
ph: 393 969 9237
In the most enchanting position in Castiglioncello, at Punta Righini, surrounded by the blue sea and caressed by the fresh sea breeze. Restaurant La Baracchina is not only a restaurant, but a unique location to experience an enchanting day at sea. Mediterranean menu with traditional dishes revisited and modernised to satisfy even the most demanding palates.

La Pineta
Via dei Cavalleggeri Nord, 27 - Marina di Bibbona
ph: 0586 600016
On the beach of Marina di Bibbona, at the edge of the pinewood with Marina di Cecina, there was a little bar on stilts, next to the bathing establishment La Pineta, where more than half a century ago a family thought to prepare some fish dishes for a clientele that had started to frequent those beaches. There was a little boy in that family who loved fishing, hunting and browsing in the kitchen. That boy is now the chef-fisherman Luciano Zazzeri, much loved for his simple and ingenious cooking.
