The Master Artisans finalist of the 1st edition of La Grande Bellezza Award at Helvetia & Bristol Firenze

Until January 9, 2022, the works of A source of light, the first edition of the award wanted by Starhotels

The historic Florentine hotel Helvetia & Bristol Firenze - Starhotels Collezione, the object of a recent and prestigious renovation, rich in interventions by Italian and in particular Florentine master craftsmen, and of an important extension - the first project in Italy by Anouska Hempel one of the most prestigious names in the world of hotellerie, winner in 2021 of the Luxury Lifestyle Award in the category of Hotel Interior Design - awarded, not surprisingly, with the World Luxury Hotel Award 2021 as the best Heritage Hotel in Italy, hosts until January 9, 2022 the exhibition Una fonte di luce, with some of the finalists of the first edition of the Starhotels La Grande Bellezza award.

A biennial award wanted by Elisabetta Fabri, President and CEO of Starhotels, with the intent to create concrete opportunities for the masters and the companies of the Italian high craftsmanship, part of the project La Grande Bellezza - The Dream Factory, promoted in collaboration with the partners Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d'Arte, Associazione OMA - Osservatorio dei Mestieri d'Arte and our publishing house Gruppo Editoriale.

At the presentation of the exhibition, in the winter garden of the hotel, Sara Ricciardi, designer and art director of the project, Marva Griffin Wilshire, ambassador and muse of Italian design, member of the Jury of the award and the director Cinzia TH Torrini, patroness of the award.

Selvatica by fabscarte, the winning work of the Prize

On display the winning work, Selvatica, an evocative wall lamp by the famous decoration atelier Fabscarte, founded in Milan by Luigi Scarabelli and Emilio Brazzolotto, specialized in handmade wallpapers, and a shortlist of finalists: the precious Nirvana table in marble and scagliola, created by the historic Bianco Bianchi atelier in collaboration with designer Luca Tornaghi; the mystical Mistero stoneware lamp by Tonino Negri; the poetic Dduma table lamp from the "Merletti" collection by Barbara Abaterusso; the Freedom mosaic and mirror chain by Davide Medri; the two very refined Ferai Codega lamps in Murano blown glass by the historic Salviati glassworks; the fascinating mirror in copper and different metals La luce di Venere by Alessandro Rametta; the luminous mosaic centerpiece Filide by Laura Carraro; the three sophisticated table lamps L14,15,16 in metal and enamel by Gabriella Gabrini with Marco Zanuso; the very refined candlestick Lumina, in ebony, bone and metal by Giordano Viganò.

During the press conference the theme of the second edition 2022 was also presented: The beauty of nature.
