Trattoria Il Cibreino
Via dei Macci, 122r
ph. +39 055 2341100

Here, the kitchen is seen as an open, shared space, without distinctions. It was precisely with this inclusive spirit that, on September 8, 1979—the same day the restaurant opened—Fabio Picchi decided to add a trattoria. It was a simple but revolutionary gesture: offering everyone the chance to experience the same gastronomic thrill. Thus was born what the Florentines have come to love as “il Cibrèino,” a city institution where authenticity and conviviality have always been the protagonists.

The atmosphere is that of the 1970s, with a warm welcome and cuisine that focuses on flavor, without frills. Here, tradition is celebrated through two simple and irresistible signature dishes: spaghettini with fresh tomato sauce, a small masterpiece of balance, and mozzarella in carrozza, fragrant and golden. A place to remember, especially for those looking for a hearty family Sunday lunch.
