Cantinetta Antinori has been one of Florence’s best known wine bars since 1965. It is located in Piazza Antinori (which intersects with Via de’ Tornabuoni) on the ground floor of the Antinori family’s age-old building. A restaurant with an elegant and intimate atmosphere, frequented by a demanding and sophisticated clientele, where one can taste the entire Antinori wine production. The famous Florentine family has been producing wine since 1385 and, of course, owns the Cantinetta ( it is run by Albiera, Marchese Piero Antinori’s oldest daughter). Most of the ingredients with which the traditional Tuscan dishes are prepared come from the Antinori estates in Tuscany and Umbria. Among the must-tries are the Cantinetta crostini, pappa al pomodoro and raw artichoke salad with shrimps.
