This is the stall number 217 on the Central Market’s first floor, owned by Elisabetta Fancelli and Gianni Boni, husband and wife, the union of two families that have been running fruit and vegetable stalls in the San Lorenzo market since the 1800s (should be experts by now!). Careful selection, only seasonal and local produce. For instance, all salads, aromatic herbs (basil, parsley, field balm), onions, leeks, garlic, cabbages and artichokes are supplied by local Florentine farmers. Soft fruit in season comes from the Apennines.
