La Bottega del 30

The story of Hélène Stoquelet would make a good film. Born in Paris, Hélèn found work as a teacher in Siena, fell in love and became the chef of the first starred restaurant in the Chianti region, La Bottega del 30. She arrived at Villa a Sesta in the late 1980s in her old Fiat 500. The whole town welcomed her and helped her make her dream come true. The women taught her the secrets of Tuscan cooking, while the men would offer a good glass of wine to those who stopped at the village and recommend their delightful local restaurant.
