Pitti Gola e Cantina is the place for wine lovers with the added bonus of being one of the less touristy gems of Florence. This tiny “cave”, perfectly in axis with the famous Palazzo Pitti, has ceiling-to-floor shelves filled with wine bottles. An extremely selective wine bar and shop with a deep passion for Sangiovese-based wine, which in Tuscany is the same as saying Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino. Manuele, Edoardo and Zeno, the young owners, spare no pains to find vintage bottles (of the sixties and seventies).
