Located on top of one of the hills surrounding Florence, Piazzale Michelangelo is one of the most beautiful panoramic points of the city. To reach the square you can climb the Poggi Ramps that lead from Piazza Giuseppe Poggi to Piazzale Michelangelo, or, more simply, take a cab or a bus. At the center of the square stands a bronze replica of Michelangelo's David life-size, looking towards the Arno and the historic center. A few steps away are the magnificent Rose Garden and Iris Garden.

Doing the #Runforlove

On the occasion of Valentine's Day, #Runforlove, the run celebrating love and solidarity for the children of Meyer Children's Hospital, returns. A run/walk to be done in pairs (friends, partners, spouses, boyfriends...) on the occasion of Valentine's Day. 4.5km per person to run or walk as a couple on Friday, Feb. 13, Saturday, Feb. 14 and Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026 to support Meyer Children's Play Therapy activities. In fact, 100 percent of the funds raised will go to support the project that ensures that all children in the hospital have those activities that make their hospitalization period happier and more carefree. A toast on the Arnolfo Tower of Palazzo Vecchio

The toast on the Tower of Palazzo Vecchio returns again this year. On February 14, Valentine's Day, the City of Florence and the MUS.E Foundation are offering a special afternoon dedicated to those who love each other. All couples, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (reservations required, limited places), will have the unmissable opportunity to visit the walkway and the Tower of Palazzo Vecchio, reaching the top via a stone staircase with 223 steps that leads to the highest viewing level, offering a wonderful 360° view of the city. On the walkway, accompanied by the music of Simone Brusoni and Leonardo Cioni of La Filharmonie - Orchestra Filarmonica di Firenze on the saxophone, a very special toast will be offered, thanks to the support of Bistrot 74, while admiring a romantic view of Florence. Walk in the Bardini garden

It is the kingdom of lovers. The Bardini Garden extends around the villa of the same name, on the southern hills of the city, not far from Forte Belvedere and from the area of the Boboli Gardens; most of the park is visible from Piazzale Michelangelo. The most scenic and romantic part of the garden is the long baroque staircase that reaches the top of the hill, from which you can admire a spectacular view of Florence.

So elegant that it was chosen as a film set, it was established by the Società Toscana di Orticoltura (Tuscan Horticultural Society) in 1852 on the property of Marquis Ginori Lisci and Marquise Venturi.
