Florence Cocktail Week 2023
All the must-see events and masterclasses in town
Florence Cocktail Week returns from 17 to 23 April, involving no less than 46 bars in Florence. Preceding the seventh edition of the kermesse dedicated to conscious and quality drinking is the fourth edition of Tuscany Cocktail Week, taking place in the best 85 cocktail bars in Tuscany from 10 to 16 April.
Tuscany Cocktail Week organised by Paola Mencarelli follows the patterns of the last editions and the latest Venice Cocktail Week and Cortina Cocktail Weekend. Seven days of widespread events in selected cocktail bars, masterclasses, product and book presentations, and guest appearances with Italian and internationally renowned guests. All declined in different moments of the day, from Brunch to Night Shift.
To open the dances of the two Tuscan kermesses a sparkling and unmissable event. The TCW23 OPENING PARTY, on the evening of Sunday 9 April at Jeffer cocktails & friends in Pisa. A party dedicated to Tuscany Cocktail Week with the bartenders of the cocktail bars of the Tuscan provinces.

Monday 17 April 7.00 p.m.-11.00 p.m.: opening party at Serre Torrigiani. The pop up bars dedicated to the sponsors will feature selected cocktail bars gathered together for one evening in one place, the ever-present pop up pizza with the best Florentine and Tuscan pizza makers, 3 Gambero Rosso slices, a selection of food stations dedicated to Italian and Tuscan gastronomic excellence, and finally the presence of the Italian and international FCW friends who have accompanied the event over the years. With music by Leo Tolu DJ. Event open to the public with online registration, cocktail fee, 10 euro.
Tuesday 18 April 5.00 - 6.30 pm: tour of Florence's historic cafés. The discovery tour of historic Florentine cafés in collaboration with Ricomincio da Firenze ends at Caffè Gilli 1733 with a Negroni Cocktail tasting. Event open to the public with reservation fee, max 20 people, 20 euro.
Tuesday, 18 April 6pm - 10pm: at the Picteau Bistrot & Bar of the Hotel Lungarno, 'Florence meets Milan'. An event celebrating the ritual and custom of the traditional Milanese aperitif in collaboration with Cordusio, a Milanese brand of excellence. Event open to the public with cocktail for a fee - Reservation recommended.
Tuesday 18 April 7:15 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.: at the Four Seasons Hotel Firenze, the event "Paradiso is a place on earth". Guest Shift with Giacomo Giannotti, Paradiso, Barcelona Event by invitation only.
Wednesday, 19 April, 16:00 - 18:30: Ginarte celebrates its botanicals of art through an itinerary in some of the city's cocktail bars, paying homage to the group of five dyeing herbs that distinguish their aromatic complexity. Five unique cocktails created for the occasion by as many exceptional bartenders and inspired by the colour of the natural pigment that Renaissance artists obtained from these plants to colour their works. The botanical/colour/cocktail bar/bartender pairings are as follows, in order: Eye Cocktail Bar by Chic Nonna, Reseda Odorosa, Matteo Sanago; Gucci Giardino 25, Robbia, Martina Bonci; Locale, Guado di Montefeltro, Matteo Di Ienno; Picteau Bistrot & Bar, Cartamo, Vincenzo Civita; Santa Cocktail Club, Nepitella, Simone Covan. Wednesday 19 April from 5.30 p.m. to 9 p.m.: at Empireo, Plaza Hotel Lucchesi, the 'Pizza with the Spirits' event in collaboration with Marco Fierro and La Farina Pizza + Grill. Event open to the public with cocktail and pizza for a fee
Wednesday 19 April at 18:00: at the Rooftop Bar of The Social Hub Florence, the event "Tel Aviv Cocktail Week goes to Florence Cocktail Week!". Invitation-only event reserved for the press.
Wednesday, 19 April, 19:00 - 22:00: at Harry's Bar The Garden - Sina Villa Medici, Tuscan Cigar Tasting with Stefano Fanticelli, Cigar Club.
Free event open to the public by reservation only, max 25 persons.
Wednesday 19 April 7.30 p.m. - 10 p.m.: at Cibrèo Ristorante & Cocktail Bar, the 'Patròn and Alchemy at Cibrèo' event. Patròn-based aperitif with pairing of tapas from the Cibreo kitchen. Event open to the public with cocktail for a fee - Reservations required.
Wednesday 19 April at 7.30 pm: at Tiratissima, the event 'Pizza & Cocktail a Colori' 4 pizzas and 4 drinks inspired by the botanicals of Art and the colours that represent them. Guest Shift with Simone Corsini, Bar Manager Hotel Principe di Piemonte, Viareggio (LU). Event open to the public with cocktail for a fee.
Thursday 20 April from 12:00 to 15:00: at Gucci Giardino 25, the 'Cocktail Pairing Lunch' event. Guest Shift with Giulia Cuccurullo, Artesian Bar, London. Event open to the public with cocktail for a fee.
Thursday 20 April at 2.30 p.m.: at the Locale, the Masterclass with Adriàn Michalcik, Global Winner World Class. Crowned Best Bartender of the Year at the World Class 2022 Global Finals held in Sydney. For the first time in Florence, the global winner of the industry's most important competition. Free event open to the public upon reservation
Thursday, 20 April, 18:00 - 20:30: at the Irene, Hotel Savoy, the 'Art in Mixology' event. Federico Galli, Bar Manager Irene, interprets art in Florence in his drinks. Signature Cocktails inspired by important artists who have been in Florence such as Olafur Eliassson, Antonio Signorini, Igor Mitoraj, Tony Cragg. Event open to the public with cocktail for a fee.
Thursday, 20 April 6pm - 11pm: at The Fusion Bar & Restaurant, Gallery Hotel Art, 'Michter's Speakeasy'. The Fusion Bar & Restaurant and Picteau Bistrot & Bar present the temporary speakeasy of Michter's, the renowned American distillery: in one of the panoramic suites of the Gallery Hotel Art, mixologists Sacha Mecocci, Cosimo Pieraccioli, Marco Colonnelli and Vincenzo Civita will take turns to delight guests with tastings of pure whiskey and extraordinary cocktails, in an exclusive setting reserved for lucky patrons. Thursday 20 April 19:00 - 22:00: at the Santa Cocktail Club, Guest Shift by Nordés with Aurélie Jean Marie Panhelleux & Lara Ponti, Copper Bay, Paris. Event open to the public with cocktail for a fee.
Friday 21 April, 8pm: at the Eye Cocktail Bar by Chic Nonna, the 'Dining with the Spirits Anni '80s' event. A six-handed dinner with Vito Mollica, who will present 'Steamed prawn cocktail with whiskey sauce', Giuseppe Calabrese who will present one of the iconic dishes of that period, 'Farfalle with vodka and salmon', and Leonardo Romanelli with another representative dish, 'Green pepper fillet'.
