Restaurants not to be missed in Pietrasanta

The gourmet addresses of the Versilia hinterland

In Versilia, the gastronomic offer is decidedly varied. You can enjoy lunch directly on the sea, or an aperitif in one of the most characteristic places on the coast, but there are also several gourmet addresses inland.

Enoteca Marcucci
Via G. Garibaldi, 40, 55045 Pietrasanta
ph: 0584 791962

One of the cult places of Pietrasanta. Particular attention is paid to the choice of raw materials to create unique dishes. The kitchen elaborates the ingredients of the recipes respecting the tradition of the territory. The undergrowth embers, the grill and the cast-iron texts bring back the flavours of the cuisine of yesteryear. Bottles from the world's most renowned producers are kept here, as in a vault.

Filippo - Ristorante a Pietrasanta
Via Padre Eugenio Barsanti
ph: 0584 70010

As you enter, you are fascinated by the work on the wall by Girolamo Ciulla, who interprets the seasonal menu of Filippo Ristorante in Pietrasanta. Art thus enters the kitchen, Filippo's cuisine is traditional but modern in its expression. From meatballs to roast beef and from tortelli alla lucchese to fish in a salt crust, without neglecting an original crudo, the culinary proposal is varied and always innovative.

Giacomo Pietrasanta
Via del Marzocco 19 - Pietrasanta (Lu)
ph. +39 0584 300 272

In the small rooms inside, you can sense a reference to the Giacomo style, a timeless elegance, discreet and not brash. The real protagonist in the kitchen? The fish, fresh daily, brought in by local fishermen and ready to be brought to the table, once chosen from the inviting counter on display, which dominates the main dining room. Each dish is cooked impeccably to bring out the quality of the carefully selected ingredients, touching them as little as possible, as is Giacomo's philosophy. If the menu is tempting, it is also interesting to be "hooked" by the off-menu items, with a large selection of carpaccio, tartare and fish of the day in various preparations. The wine list, created ad hoc by the sommelier, is large and select.
