A curated selection of labels is also not to be missed.
Antica Trattoria Sanesi
Via Arione 33, ang. via Dante Alighieri - Lastra a Signa (FI)

The trattoria was established in the late 19th century in an already rustic and domestic setting. In the early days, the Sanesi family ran a store selling a wide variety of foodstuffs and, above all, serving wine. Located in the historic center, an establishment with a simple and genuine tone with cuisine that offers traditional specialties such as ribollita, pappardelle al cinghiale and the inevitable grilled fiorentina steak.
Tullio a Montebeni
Via Ontignano, 48 - Fiesole (Fi)
ph. +39 055 697354
Old trattoria just outside Florence, after Settignano. Frequented by a loyal regular clientele who find here a friendly welcome and family warmth not easy to find. Simple cuisine with old-fashioned cooked dishes and especially spectacular steaks served by Paolo, Carlotta and Paola. In summer it is a real pleasure to dine al fresco at the few tables outside.
La Sosta del Rossellino
Via del Rossellino, 2 - Settignano (FI)
ph. +39 055 697245
A true institution when it comes to wine, not just cuisine. Established in 1990, attached to the existing pizzicheria, overlooking magnificent Florence, untouchable dishes include tagliatelle al Sauternes or gnocchi col Castelmagno. A romantic and unique place, with a veranda overlooking the green or the night, an affectionate niche for lovers of the formidable food-wine-feeling trio. There is little to say about meat: they have always cooked Fassone, that is, Piedmontese breed, at La Sosta. From the "Fiorentina" to the fillet in a crust, arriving at the tartare, you can never go wrong. Great is the variety of cheeses, another passion of the house, as well as the Patè de Foie Gras prepared by Silvia.
La Casa del Prosciutto
Via Ponte a Vicchio, 1 - Vicchio (FI)
ph. +39 055 844031
In the heart of Mugello, in Ponte a Vicchio, La Casa del Prosciutto is practically an institution. There is no one who doesn't know this bridge house that combines grocery store, delicatessen and trattoria. You can stop in for a sandwich or a schiacciata and choose from a well-stocked counter of sliced meats, vegetables and cheeses to eat outside on the lawn or in the picnic area, get comfortable in the small indoor room with a fireplace or shelter from the sun under the trees at the outdoor tables. Specialties not to be missed include prosciutto - of course - but also bruschetta and crostini of all kinds and some extraordinary Mugello tortelli, as well as homemade meat and desserts. At the food counter then you can also buy local products, artisanal jams, cheeses and seasonal fruits.
L'Artusino
Piazza del Monumento, 9 - Cerbaia
ph. +39 3288816036 - 3396618788 - 3336594118
In the fund that used to house the Tenda Rossa, in Piazza del Monumento in Cerbaia Val di Pesa, Marco Gamannossi, Marco Tomberli and Clio Bianchi inaugurated L'Artusino, a name chosen by young patron Marco Gamannossi in honor of Pellegrino Artusi, the father of Tuscan (and other) cuisine. Straightforward flavors, patient cooking done unhurriedly, flavors that belong to the cuisine of our grandmothers, married to a short-chain wine list. The highlight? Obviously homemade pasta and the ever-present steak.
